Just a few days after doing an unboxing of the iPhone 4S I decided to do an unboxing of my Motorola RAZR. The phone comes with a 4.3 inch qHD (960x540) diplay, 1.2 GHz Dual core processor and 1 GB of RAM. It has two cameras, a rear facing 8 MP camera which records video in 1080p and a front facing 1.3 MP camera which records video at 720p.
Currently the thinnest phone on the market the RAZR comes in at 7.1mm thin. When holding it in your hand the Kevlar on the back gives the phone a premium feel and makes it easier to hold. Because the phone is so thin and they needed to fit all that goodness somewhere the phone is slightly wider than other phone with 4.3 inch screen but its extremely anorexic design makes it comfortable to hold.
As expected with its high end specs it runs smoothly in most areas but has an unbelievable lag in the gallery app when zooming into pictures. Other than a few minor glitches the phone runs buttery smooth and doesn't seem to have any problems handling more intensive tasks like loading up more intensive applications like Real Racing 2.
The camera takes average pictures and an average user will have no problems with the picture quality but don't expect it to replace any point and shoots. The video quality is absolutely stellar and the 1080p video is unmatched in the other phones I have seen. Motorola's three microphone arrangement has excellent noise cancellation in videos and you get almost no background noise when recording videos.
Coming in at around Rs. 32,000 (the phone costs a different amount at different shops) is slots right in there in the high end Android phone line up and is a choice one shouldn't overlook when choosing your next phone. Thanks for watching and stay locked on the site for more news, videos and coverage.
